Welcome to our web site!

The Gathering Room is a quilt shop located in Historic Downtown LaGrange, KY. The building we call home was built in 1880's and is registered with the Historical Society. We have over 1400 square feet for our fabric, classroom, patterns, books and notions. Our town is known for it's railroad tracks going down Main Street.

We specialze in Civil War Reproduction Fabrics from Windham, Marcus Brothers, Andover and Moda. An entire room is devoted to these fabrics and patterns. Come take a walk back through history with us....

We also carry a large selection of 30's Reproduction Fabrics.

Traditional quilting fabrics including homespuns, flannels,warm color tones and complete lines of fabric are also offered at The Gathering Room Quilt Shoppe. Some lines include fabrics from Moda, Benertex, Windham, Marcus Brothers, Red Rooster, Thimbleberries and RJR to name a few.

New fabric is arriving on a continual basis. Stop in and see what is new.

The heat and humidity of summer is upon us! Time to sit at your machine and sew sew sew!! We had a wonderful Jingle Bell Hop thanks to all who participated. Winners of the quilt kits were announced they are: Among Friends - Carol Baker, The Gathering Room - Debbie Jenkins, Happy Heart - Sandy Cable, Forget-Me-Knot - Linda Pace, Quilts and Crafts - Karen Kessler, Patch As Patch Can - Janet Schmidt and The Quilting Bee - Mary Cathcart. Congratulations to you all!!!!!! Each shop also drew for their stocking winners, ours is Brenda Hennig.
We have gotten in the new line Country Haven by Kim Diehl and it is wonderful! Twenty-seven bolts of gorgeous colors!!! We have some jelly rolls and fat quarter bundles cut. We also received Harper's Ferry by Windham and it is just as wonderful!! The blues and browns are great! Dear Santa from Clothworks also arrived with a cute panel.
Our homespuns are marked down 50%!!!! We need to make room for more new fabric!
